How to Send a Gmail Email

4 Steps to Send an Email through Gmail

1. Click on the red button at the top of the left sidebar that says “Compose.”

2. Type the recipient’s email address in the “To” field. Every email address is formatted as:  “person’s name” @ “any email service” . com, net, org, etc. If you’ve sent emails before, Gmail will suggest the email address you may be looking for.

3. Fill in the “Subject” field. This describes what your email is about. It’s best practice to always have a subject in your email.

4. Write your message in the body. Once complete, click send.

After you press send, Gmail will show you this message below, confirming that your email has been sent!
